UCLA’s 2014 Queer Graduate Student Conference brought together the innovative research of graduate students in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) Studies.The theme, Queers Without Borders, focused on global trends for LGBTQ rights, culture, health, and safety. With the rapidly changing laws affecting LGBTQ people, legal disparities are particularly stark. At the same time, technology has led to unprecedented cultural and scientific exchange. With this in mind, the 2014 Queer Graduate Student Conference featured papers that represent the latest LGBTQ research being done by graduate students throughout the globe.
